A Tallyman game

FRAMES

An animated, fully voiced visual novel about a pair of glasses that see too much.

Put them on and everyone on campus gets a little readout. Get close to someone and you start seeing what’s behind the number.

The game

Move-in day.
Strange glasses.

You roll into Runnmore University with a box of stuff, a roommate you’ve never met, and a pair of glasses somebody handed you for no good reason.

Put them on and everyone gets a little readout: their name and their number. That comes in handy fast. By the morning after your first party, things on campus have gone sideways, and the glasses see a lot more than anyone else does.

Who you trust, who you tell about the glasses, and who you end up with are all up to you.

Everyone moves

Every character is an animated sprite. They react, fidget and talk to you.

Fully voiced

The whole cast speaks. Your character stays quiet, so you do the talking.

Choices that stick

The game remembers who you backed, who you lied to and who you went home with.

Minigames

Moments you play instead of read, and how they go changes the scene.

Screens

A look inside

Support

Free to play.
Early if you want it.

Frames is made a chapter at a time. Supporting it keeps the updates coming, and gets you each one first.

01

The first build is free for everyone on itch.io.

02

Supporters get each update about two weeks before it goes public.

03

Then it’s free for everyone, same as the first one.

READOUT

$5 / MONTH

  • Every update about two weeks before it goes public
  • Supporter-only dev posts: what’s being animated and written
  • Work-in-progress clips and how the scenes get made
  • Polls on what gets made next

Same tier on both. Following for free works too. Both are 18+ sites.

The studio

Tallyman is a tiny team.

We make story games with characters who actually move. Frames is the first one.

The art, animation, music and many of the voices are made with AI tools that we direct and edit by hand. Some voices and the motion capture are performed by real people, and the writing, code and interface are original.
